Terms of use
These terms cover use of Kiloworks, the office platform, and KiloCrew, the iPhone crew app (together, “Kiloworks”), operated by Kilowatt Electric Company (“we”, “us”). By signing in or using Kiloworks you agree to them. If you use Kiloworks for your employer, you agree on its behalf as well as your own.
Accounts
A customer company’s administrators create its users’ accounts and decide what each person can see and do. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell your administrator if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Your company’s data
Each customer company owns the information it puts into Kiloworks or brings in from its connected systems. It gives us permission to store and process that information only to provide Kiloworks to it, as described in our privacy policy. The company is responsible for having the right to the information it adds, including information about its own customers and employees.
Connected services
Kiloworks can connect to services such as QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365 and Samsara. Those services are provided by their own companies under their own terms. When a company connects one, it authorizes Kiloworks to read and write the information described in the privacy policy. A company can disconnect a service at any time. We are not responsible for the services themselves, or for changes they make that affect the connection.
Acceptable use
Do not use Kiloworks to break the law, to access data you aren’t allowed to see, to interfere with the service or its security, or to copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.
License
We grant each customer company and its users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Kiloworks for the company’s internal business while these terms are in effect. We keep all rights in the software itself.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Kiloworks available and accurate, and we improve it over time, which may change how features work. Kiloworks is provided “as is”. You should review invoices, purchase orders and other records before relying on them or sending them to others.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim about Kiloworks is limited to the amount the customer company paid us for Kiloworks in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending use
A company can stop using Kiloworks at any time. We may suspend access for misuse or non-payment. When use ends, we handle the company’s data as described in the privacy policy.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
